Share the Magic

This great card was share by fellow consultant Diane Tuggle

the base of this card is 4 1/4  x 5 1/2 , I used Canberry cs

Please disregard all small whole punches on these photos they are not part of the directions.

The next piece is 8 x 5 ¼, I used New England Ivy.

I fold this in half (Hamburger fold)

This next  step shows how to do the angle cut.

Slide your card in (tall) and measure to 2 ¾ do not cut simply mark it.

Next you will turn the card at an angel on your cutter lining up the 2 ¾ mark and the fold in the center fold of you card.  Then cut,  you will use this same method to cut your b&T you do to layer on this.  Set you triangle piece you have aside to use inside card once it is completed.  Take the larger folded piece and layer this on top of the base we started with

The next step is to cut a piece of the striped B&T 33/4 x 5 and attach to the inside of your card.

Cut a piece of the red Snowflake B&T 4 7/8 x 3 ¾ Using the same cutting method from above to do the angel cut only with paper in cutter short mark 2 5/8 then turn and line up this mark with the top edge of you piece and cut.  The triangle on this is scrap the larger piece will layer onto your card front.

Next stamp your snowman and snowflakes onto white cardstock that measures 2 ¼ x 3.  I used grey wool to color hat, this does wonders for making it look black but being able to see definition, I used Cranberry for band on hat and scarf, desert sand on stick arms and Dutch blue with water color pencil to accent snowman snow and flakes.  I then added prisma glitter to make it shine.

I layerd this out on Cranberry CS measuring 2 ½ x 3 ¼ and then onto New England measuring 2 ¾ x 3 ½

Next I cut a second piece of the striped paper this was ¾ x 3 ¾  and a piece of white ½ x 3 ¾, with the white you can use scallop scissors or used your corner rounder to create a scallop look.  I then attached both of these to the bottom side of the front of the card.

On the inside of the card I attached the green triangle only putting tape on two sides leaving third side open to use as a pocket for money, gift cards or photos.  I then stamped Sharing the Magic greeting.

Close the card and attach the snowman to the front of the card but only put tape on lower area as you do not want to glue your card shut.

Add ribbon for finishing touch.  I like glue dots best for tucking ribbon under paper instead of wrapping ribbon all the way around.  And I actually tied my bow onto ribbon before I attached it to the card.
