Septembers Stamp of the Month Blog Hop “Fall Favorites”

If you have arrived here via the blog hop and Doreen Guilfoyle’s blog you are on the right track.

The stamp of the month for September has fall fun written all over it.  A great project to make with our wonderful new markers blending pen and of course our New Artiste Cricut cartridge!

This Swing card is just one of the nine different ones available on our Artiste cartridge.

You are welcome to follow the detailed instructions on how to create this card or feel free to hop on over to

Lalia Harris’s blog for another great idea.  If you get lost along the way, go to Helen Onulak’s blog and check out the master list.

To start with the swing cards are on page 52 of the instructional booklet that comes with your cartridge.  I made the third one over, Accent 2 no shift.  This is using the s key.  I cut this at 5 1/2 out of colonial white cardstock

Next I cut B&T from the moonlight kit 4 x 5 ¼, Olive CS 2 3/8 sq, Smokey Plum CS 2 ¼ sq and two pieces of Colonial White 2 x 2.  One will hold my pumpkin the other my greeting inside the card.

Next with the cricut I repeated the cut for the swing card only using Goldrush CS.  Lifted the card only off the mat and rotated it then re-cut so I had a swing cut on both ends.  I then cut this in half and it made the inside cover for two cards.  Hope this makes sense as I am out of Goldrush for the moment and cannot show step by step.

Attach to the inside of the card and sand.

I used the Olive ink from our new pigment inks; let dry well then used our Autumn Terracotta marker, light.  My new blending pen will be here in a day or so can’t wait to see what all I can do with that.

Layer pumpkin image onto Smokey plum and Olive cardstocks and place in the focal point on swing card.

Next I placed my B&T inside along with Colonial CS for greeting.  I used one of the greetings available in our stamp set called It’s Your Day! Which is available only this month and while supplies last.

I want to give a big thank you to Mary Thompson and Debbie Fournier for making this great chart for cutting all the fun images that can fit inside of these great Swing cards!
