Sensational Season

D 1454 Sensational Season

Hi there you have arrived here from Tamra’s Blog

I am very excited to share this fun card idea with you.  The pattern was shared by Nancy Kearns, one of my wonderful down line.

I have instructions that follow or you can hope on over to Nicole’s blog….

The first step is to cut your base:

Pear CS 4 ¼ x 9 you will score this at ½”, 2”,3”,4 ½”, 6”,7”, and 8 ½” (cut a slit in the 4 ½ slit leaving ¼” at each end.

Cut your B&T the striped 3/4” x 4 ¼, I cut this so the stripes are going up and down and the solid hollyhock with dots is in the very center.  Next cut two pieces of the small floral print at 1 ¼ x 4.

From bottom to top place striped B&T in the third section up, this will be thinner than the one before and after.  Then put the floral B&T in the next two areas, the slit will be between these two.

Next cut Smoothie cardstock 3 ½ x 5 ½ and White CS at 3 ¼ x 5 ¼ this is what we will stamp our scene on.

Stamp your saying ½” down from top and ½” over of white CS, the grass only (do not ink up the sign) is stamped in pear ink also and is 3/4” up from bottom over to left side.

Now mask off the grass and with Chocolate ink stamp bunny and sign.

Next I made two templates on scrap cardstock by stamping bunny twice on one I cut out brown area and on the other I cut out the jacket.  I also made a mask of the ears and nose on a post it note and cut it out so it would attach to my project.  This is to do a technique called quick coloring.

I covered the bunny’s pink ears and nose area then I used liquid appliqué along with small amount of chocolate re-inker and mixed these using the mixing stick and paint tray found in Z1299 distressing kit.  Using a finger dauber, rub this mix into the bunny template to quick color the bunny fur.

I then changed out the template and used chalks to color the coat.

Once your scene is colored and completed you can put your card together.

Slide the card front into the slit, fold both ½’ sections toward center apply adhesive to both.  The Bunny scene will attach to bottom as shown, now close it down and tape.

Now simply pull down on card and your bunny card will appear.

Now this can slide back and forth for if you want to have it flat to mail.

Or if you want to add an additional sweet treat I covered two standard sized snicker bars with the floral B&T and slid these into the slots this card creates.

This makes it extra sturdy and sweet.

Enjoy
